Welcome

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of alsoknownas.la and any related services (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, placing an order, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

alsoknownas is operated by Hunter Rayne Benson (the "Company," "we," "us," "our"), reachable at alsoknownashelp@gmail.com or 657 E. Lemon Swirl Dr., Azusa, CA 91702.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase, or have explicit permission from a parent or legal guardian who is. By placing an order, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Products & pricing

  • All product descriptions, photographs, sizing, and availability information are provided in good faith but may contain errors. We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time without prior notice.
  • Prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes.
  • We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order at our discretion — including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or limited-availability situations.

Pre-orders

Many alsoknownas pieces are sold via pre-order. By placing a pre-order:

  • You authorize an immediate charge to your payment method.
  • You agree to the production timeline stated on the product page (typically 4–8 weeks from the close of the pre-order window).
  • You may cancel within 48 hours of placing the pre-order. After 48 hours, your order has entered production and can no longer be cancelled.

Payment

Payment is processed at checkout via Shopify Payments and other authorized providers. We don't store your full credit card details. By submitting payment information, you authorize us (or our processors) to charge the stated total.

Shipping, returns, refunds

Our Shipping Policy and Refund & Returns Policy are part of these Terms by reference. Read each before placing an order.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including the alsoknownas name, logo, product photography, designs, copy, and the underlying code — is the property of Hunter Rayne Benson or licensed to him. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any of it without prior written permission.

The "aka!" mark is unregistered trademark of alsoknownas as of the effective date.

User conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to access the Site for any purpose other than legitimate search-engine indexing
  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access-control feature
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Site

Accounts

If you create an account, you're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at alsoknownashelp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services (Shopify for hosting and checkout, payment processors, shipping carriers, email providers). Your interactions with those services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for third-party service availability or actions.

Disclaimers

The Site and its contents are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of alsoknownas, Hunter Rayne Benson, and any affiliates arising out of or related to your use of the Site or any product purchased through the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the product(s) at issue. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or loss of business — even if advised of the possibility.

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on certain warranties or damages, so the above may not fully apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless alsoknownas, Hunter Rayne Benson, and any affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on the Site, with the effective date at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered customers when feasible.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
